Bookbinding

I have been studying bookbinding at my own pace for many years. I have studied under the former owner of Bessenberg Bindery, and have taken classes under other world-class professionals at the American Academy of Bookbinding in Telluride, CO.

I fell in love with the idea of being a book conservator in my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University. I completed my capstone for my Museum Studies Certificate under the Head of Conservation for the Libraries. I went on to work in the Wallace Conservation Lab for several months as part of a termed contract.

I continue to practice bookbinding when I can, occasionally completing projects for myself, friends and family.
