Citizenship Certificates

Condition & Mission

These two citizenship certificates were poorly stored, folded, in acidic portfolios. They had aged considerably and the paper would continue to age rapidly, especially along the folds. The focus of this project was preservation, so while repairs were made where the enduring structural integrity of the piece was at stake, no aesthetic repairs were made.
